The Stump Grinding CompanyEssex & Hertfordshire

Commercial and site clearance

Commercial Stump Grinding & Removal

Stump grinding for developers, builders, landscapers and grounds contractors. Site clearance, multiple and large stumps, with the work planned around the requirements of the site.

Site work

Planned around the site

On a commercial site the stumps are usually in the way of something: groundworks, a new build, fencing, hard landscaping or a planting scheme. We plan the grinding around what is happening to the ground next, the site access and the other trades working there.

Our standard depth is approximately 8" (20cm) below ground level. Where the site needs it, we can grind deeper and remove more of the main stump and root mass, where that is required and practical. Chips can be left on site or removed where required.

We can work to a fixed price for the job, or on hourly and day rates where that suits the site better, such as large clearances or work alongside a changing programme.

How it works

How a commercial job runs

  1. Step 1

    Send the site details

Location, stump quantities and sizes, photos, and what is happening to the ground next.

  2. Step 2

    Quote or site visit

Many jobs can be priced from photos. Larger or complex sites can be visited first.

  3. Step 3

    Agree the specification

Depth, how much stump and root mass to remove, chips, and fixed or hourly and day rates.

  4. Step 4

    Grind and clear

The work is carried out around the site and the other trades, to the agreed specification.

5 out of 5 stars

Mike and his dad came around today to grind out several extremely large stumps and structural roots. I couldn’t be happier. Both of them are very professional gents who took the time and care to ensure this job was done perfectly.
