The Stump Grinding Company is an owner-operated business specialising in stump grinding and stump removal across Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Stump grinding is what I do — not a sideline to general tree or garden work. I run the machines suited to stumps of different sizes, in domestic gardens and on commercial sites, including tight-access spaces, removing them quickly and with minimal disruption.

From your initial enquiry and quote through to the work being completed, you’ll deal directly with me. I look at the job, provide the quote, and personally carry out the grinding — the work isn’t passed on or subcontracted.

I work with homeowners, landlords, builders, landscapers and tree surgeons. Whether it’s a single garden stump or an entire site, I take care of everything from grinding to backfilling and leave the area tidy.
