The job
A giant 70-year-old cherry stump.
This cherry tree was approximately 70 years old, and it left behind a giant stump that needed to be fully removed.
With a tree of that age, the job was not just the stump itself but the root base spreading out around it.
The work
Stump first. Root base next.
We used our Bandit SG-40 tracked stump grinder to work through the main stump.
Once the stump was ground out, we carried on into the surrounding root base so the whole area was removed rather than just the centre.
The result
Stump and root base. Gone.
The main stump and surrounding root base were ground out, leaving a mix of grindings and soil where the giant cherry stump used to be.
